A clock running to the tempo of the passing sun. Formally taken it is an astronomical clock (see also the webpage about it). The tempometer in filognosy represents the mûrti, the idol, of the image of God, which as well constitutes the difficulty, being an abstraction of the wisdom found behind it in words and realizations of a farther reach.
